A juvenile was recently placed under arrest by law enforcement after he allegedly directed threats against a library in Nutley, New Jersey.
Nutley law enforcement got a call from employees at the Nutley Public Library, which is located on 93 Booth Drive in Nutley, NJ. The library workers told police that two juveniles entered the building and began making threats.
Nutley police officers were dispatched to the scene. Authorities determined that the threat warranted immediate action, so they shut down the library and closed off surrounding streets. This caused some problems for parents who were trying to pick up their kids from a school located in the area of the Nutley library.
Nutley NJ cops canvassed the area and eventually found one of the juveniles accused of making the threats. He was placed under arrest and subsequently charged with a juvenile offense for creating a false public alarm.
The underage suspect was ultimately released to the custody of his parents. He will still have to answer the juvenile charges against him at a later date.
Nutley NJ detectives are actively investigating the juvenile threat incident and trying to locate the other minor who may have been involved.
